Today, 17 April 2009, the four defendants in the Pirate Bay trial was convicted of "aiding and abetting" copyright infringements. This means that it is as of today illegal to link to something that is illegal in Sweden. As I have no control over the pages I link to, this in practice puts everybody who have a web page in jeopardy of linking to something illegal, and hence everybody who has a web page in Sweden now risks doing something illegal. This, together with the fact that all Internet communication crossing Swedish borders are being monitored makes the Swedish Internet situation intolerable.

I have therefore decided to close my Swedish websites.
